Xiliary Systems
Brendan Cody-Kenny
Independent technical partner where custom software is of concern.
Diligence at deal moments, stewardship through hold periods, and bespoke software.
Services
Technical due diligence. Assessment of engineering teams capabilities, process & code for deal teams pre-acquisition, advisors mid-hold, and operators evaluating in-house engineering.
Advisory & interim CTO. Direct engagement for portcos and founders working through a specific software problem: an inherited codebase, a stalled migration, a team that has outgrown its tooling, a 100-day plan that needs a technical owner. Scoped per engagement.
Bespoke software & long-running stewardship. Custom systems built fit-for-purpose, then supported through their full lifecycle. Xiliary Systems has been doing this since 2010.
Powered by weighbridge.co software intelligence.
How I work
Engagements start with a short scoping conversation. After that we both have something concrete to work from.
For diligence I work directly with the code and the team that wrote it. For advisory I work alongside whoever owns the technical decisions in the business. Client engagements range from a few days to over a decade.
Previous engagements
CTO of a software company. Led the consolidation of a microservices architecture back into a single deployable for team simplicity. Delivered a full-system rewrite in six months.
Legal exposure mapping for PE diligence. Cross-referenced public regulatory registers to map a target's compliance footprint. The gap between the registers was the diligence question.
Bespoke systems for small firms. Custom document management, secure file transfer, and time-tracking systems. Over a decade of production deployments.
Developer-analytics startup. Founded an early-stage company mining git history for developer-skill signal.

Email a paragraph or two about the situation and I'll come back with whether it's a fit and what scoping would look like.
