Our developers wanted a lightweight way to receive emails from their computers. The main way to achieve this is by configuring an email server or using a email service. On many occasions valuable time was lost in trying to configure email so that it could be sent from a script or scheduled task.
We built what we believe to be the world's simplest Email API.
Anyone can sign up to this service with their email to receieve their own personal API URL. A HTTP GET to this URL will then trigger an email message to be sent to the address used during signup. A HTTP POST can also be used to attach text to the email. This system enables anyone to receive alerts from their computers within minutes and avoids potentialy hours of email configuration time.
